The news of the idiot who has poisoned the iconic trees at Toomer's corner at Auburn University has made it to CNN.
"Al" from Dadeville, Alabama has been identified as 62 year old, yes the man is 62 years old, Harvey Updike, Jr. He will reportedly be charged with first-degree criminal mischief and as of this morning is being held on $50,000 bond at the Lee County Detention facility.
You know that rural Alabama is a boring place when we have senior citizens participating in petty crimes over college football rivalries. This old man has made, not only every University of Alabama fan, but everyone in the state look like complete idiots. The last thing that the rest of the country needs to see on CNN is yet another Alabamian making a fool of all of us.
I can only hope that Updike spends the rest of his retirement in prison with a girlfriend named Butch to keep him company.
