Facebook Town Hall Meeting

President Obama started a round of town-hall meetings Wednesday at the headquarters of Facebook.  CEO and founder, Mark Zuckerberg moderated the meeting with many serious and comical topics.  President Obama started the meeting with a story about a dinner that he had with Zuckerburg in January where he was forced to wear a suit and tie, but was clearly uncomfortable.  After they both decided to remove their coats, Obama went into his speech on the federal deficit, education, healthcare, and immigration.

The Obama administration and Facebook made it clear that the location of the town-hall was in no way intended to be an endorsement from either side, although Obama's campaign used Facebook and social media to win the 2008 election and will likely do the same in 2012.  Obama praised Zuckerberg and his team for what Facebook has allowed the world to do in the way of getting involved with politics.  He also applauds them for their rapid and long lasting success in an American industry.
