Name That Snake

Last week when an extremely dangerous snake got out of its enclousure at The Bronx Zoo, I found myself watching my step everywhere I went at work (The Birmingham Zoo).  Though we have never had a snake get out, that I know of, if a snake can get out at the Bronx Zoo so easily then I know it's possible at The Birmingham Zoo.

The Egyptian Cobra "mysteriously" escaped its exibit, a.k.a. the keepers left a door open...  The zoo claims that they still do not know how the snake escaped but they took huge measures to find him afterwards.  If a train accident can cripple the Lousiville Zoo, a deadly snake bite will most definatly shut down the Bronx.

In order to distract the public from the fact that there was venemous snake roaming around the zoo for a week, the zoo is now hosting a poll to name the now famous snake.  It's a genious idea, and has completley drawn everyone's mind away from the massive mistake on the part of the zoo.  Thousands of names were submitted for the competition and the zoo has narrowed it down to five that the public can now vote on.  My personal favorite is Mia, or M.I.A., but you can go vote on The Bronx Zoo website.
